Indian Curry Paste Workshop: 3 Curries & 3 Curry Dishes with Chef Deja Hart

Warm up your fall dishes with 3 flavorful Indian curry pastes that Chef Deja Hart will teach us to make from scratch. If you’ve taken one of Chef Deja’s curry paste workshops in the past, you know how fabulous they are. In this 3-hour lively, hands-on class you’ll learn to make Madras, Goan and Kashmiri/Rogan Josh curry pastes as well as taste each one used in a delicious recipe suitable for everyday dining or if company is coming. Each student will go home with a small jar of each curry paste – plenty to liven up a number of meals. Note: Not all curries are “hot”. Many are mild and flavorful with no “heat” at all. In this class we’ll make 2 flavorful & 1 medium-hot paste.
Please Note: We cook and bake with the very best ingredients we can purchase which may include gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, dairy, fish & shellfish. Unfortunately, we can not accommodate for special diets and/or severe allergies in our general cooking classes. If you’d like to arrange a private class, please contact us. We’d love to tailor a menu to your dietary specifications.
Covid-19 Policies & Protocol – We are limiting classes to ONLY 10 people per session and require masks be worn in the Kitchen unless we’re eating. We will follow protocols set forth by the RI Governor’s Office, Department of Health and Center for Disease Control and encourage social distancing in the Kitchen.
Class fee: $75/student + $5 materials cost = $80 total
