Cooking and Baking our Favorite Recipes for Children 13 – 16 years old

In this lively hands-on half day camp we’ll make a 3-course meal each day as we hone basic cooking and baking skills, try different and unusual foods and learn to navigate recipes from easy to complex. On day one we’ll make some of our staff’s favorite recipes. The next 3 days the campers will vote on which recipes they want to learn to make. On Friday, we’ll break into teams and host a friendly cooking competition. Throughout the week we will work on organizational skills and cleanliness in the Kitchen, learn proper knife skills and essential safety knowledge. We always taste everything we make, bake or cook and critically evaluate recipes for how we might make them differently or better the next time. We love to experiment in the kitchen, so you never know what might be on the menu! Always emphasizing healthy, organic and whole foods, we give children the tools they’ll need to make healthier lifestyle choices throughout their lives.   

Please Note: We cook and bake with the very best ingredients we can purchase which may include gluten, peanuts, tree nuts, soy, dairy, fish & shellfish. Unfortunately, we can not accommodate for special diets and/or severe allergies in our cooking camps.
