The perfect warm, delicious meal in one bowl – Grain Bowls can satisfy all of your taste cravings. A trip to the Farmer’s Market or down the fresh produce aisle of the grocery store, where every stall or bin is brimming with beautiful colors, textures and flavors, gives us so many possibilities to create delicious Grain Bowls. Grain Bowls are a healthy, hearty, one bowl meal complete with protein, vegetables, grains, a sauce and often a rub or marinade, and typically have many toppings. They are visually pleasing and taste even better. In this class we’ll take a Farmer’s Market haul of fresh produce, experiment with a number of grains including farro, polenta, rice and quinoa, many options for protein including eggs, chicken and beans, explore a number of cuisine options, ingredient ideas and cooking techniques, and then, in small groups, work together to create unique Grain Bowls. We’ll enjoy eating everything we make in class. You’ll go home with 10 sauce, rub and marinade recipes, a Grain Bowl Worksheet, 3 complete recipes and lots of ideas for making different bowls every night of the week. BYOB
