
Two Pies – Make and Take

Enjoy an evening in the Newport Cooks kitchen listening to holiday music and making a full-sized fruit and/or savory pie that you’ll take home. Pastry Chef Victoria Kenyon leads this hands-on class where you’ll learn to make a flaky pie crust from scratch and garner the secrets to no more “soggy bottoms”. You’ll get to choose your filling – fruit and/or savory (apple = sweet and cranberry, turkey, butternut squash = savory) and decide whether you want to freeze/refrigerate your pie to bake later, or bake it when you get home. A lovely night out of fun in the kitchen that gives you a pie (or pies) to enjoy during the holidays. In class we’ll also enjoy tasting both of these pie,s so you’ll know how lucky your guests will be when you bring these winners to the table – BYOB, if you’d like. Each pie serve 6 – 8 generous slices.
